Why join the GMDA?
Membership in the Global Media and Democracy Association (GMDA) is open to all individuals and institutions that support its general mission to create and promote an effective community of global media studies practitioners, scholars, and activists and to represent the field and its committed practitioners everywhere. As an individual or institutional member of the GMDA, you are part of one of the most robust network of media and culture practitioners: scholars, educators, journalists, artists, and activists. Members participate and present at our annual conference. Your membership makes our independent organization possible while giving you access to a large body of knowledge and a number of professional development opportunities and resources.
GMDA membership uses a rolling membership model. A rolling, or anniversary, membership is one that begins on the day it is purchased and is valid for 365 days. For example, an anniversary membership purchased on 31 March 2017 will begin on 31 March 2017 and end on 30 March 2018., and based on anniversary. Membership rates are calculated on a sliding scale.
